SANDY, UT — Tradewinds, LLC., the largest privately-held distributor of business cloud infrastructure and contact center services, announced it had hired industry-veteran Christie Hamberis as its new VP of Supplier Management. As the newest member of the Tradewinds leadership team, Hamberis will be responsible for managing the Tradewinds Supplier Management team, a group of professionals who help suppliers reach their sales targets by leveraging the Tradewinds trusted advisor community. The Tradewinds Supplier Management team focuses on:
- Making sure the supplier’s information is correct in Tradewinds’ proprietary software tools
- Aligning budgets to support partner and customer-facing events and education
- Ensuring both company’s field and internal resources are in alignment
“Christie is going to be a tremendous resource to our partners and valued sales partners alike,” said Richard Murray, COO of Tradewinds. “Christie brings with her over 28 years of supplier management experience with the most dynamic and high-tech brands in the industry. Her knowledge of their products, in addition to her ability to strategically align financial, technical, and field sales resources, will help Tradewinds continue our decade of double-digit growth and create value for everyone working with Tradewinds. She will fit in perfectly with our culture of Partner and Team Success, helping us grow by first helping our sales partners get the resources they need from our many suppliers. Christie’s strategic vision will allow us to recalibrate our go-to-market strategies with existing supplier partners, while also building with the suppliers of tomorrow.”
Over her successful career, Hamberis has spent all of her 28 years in the tech industry. The past 23 years have been working for ScanSource, a leading distributor of technology hardware, where she began as a product manager, progressed to VP of merchandising then SVP of their Networking & Security Unit, where she consistently delivered double-digit growth. In her most recent role as the SVP Supplier Management, she was responsible for supporting and managing over 250 suppliers across North America.
“I’ve been watching Tradewinds grow for years, and now I am proud to join them as their VP of supplier management,” said Christie Hamberis, VP of supplier management for Tradewinds. “Tradewinds has done amazing things for its sales partners over the past few years, the most important of which is reinvesting back into the business so that their agents have the tools, support, and experts they need to provide unparalleled value to their clients. Part of that equation is having suppliers engaged, eager to train, support, and even fund their growth. I’m confident that my two decades of experience working with best-in-class technology suppliers will benefit our sales partners, our suppliers, and my teammates here at Tradewinds. There is no limit to what we can achieve when we all align strategically to become indispensable to businesses that need a deep bench of technology advisors. I look forward to that challenge and taking Tradewinds to new levels of success.”
